3.1.5 Resetting the IQ-400 to Default Values
In the event that the 3-volt watch battery is removed or loses its electrical charge, the
IQ-400 must be reset. Follow the procedures below to restore the controller to the default
values.
1. With power on, move all switches at dipswitch SW1 to the right, OFF (as printed on the circuit
board).
2. Press the Reset button at S1.
3. The 10 LEDs (D39 – D48) will flash in waterfall effect and then stop. The 7-segment LEDs
(D49 and D50) will show 8.8. and then show a Hexadecimal number dependant on what
version of firmware you have in the controller. The input LEDs will start a cascade and then
flash when the reset process is complete, all 10 segments of the LED Array (D1) will turn
OFF, and the seven segment LEDs will show a single line segment flashing in a circular
pattern clockwise.
4. Refer to Section 7.3 [Addressing Individual IQ-400s through the Dipswitch] and begin
addressing the IQ-400 by DIP switching the panel number (1-111).
5. Set the communication protocol by following the instructions on section 7.4 [Setting MODEM
or Direct Connect Configurations].
6. The system is now set to the default values. Refer to Quick Setup Steps for page references.
