Market Analysis – A4 Colour Printers
A4 Colour Printer Forecast
The 2 graphs below show the trends in each segment as well as a future forecast for all A4 Colour Printers in both
West and East Europe. The data is taken from InfoSource and includes all A4 Colour Printers being sold in the
market today (regardless of channel), thus showing the maximum potential of the A4 Colour Printer market within
Europe.
You will notice that from a volume perspective the A4 Colour Printer market is much larger in Western Europe as
colour devices are more readily accepted and there is less price pressure on businesses within developed markets,
much the same as we saw in the MFP market. Again, the Western European market makes up about 86% of all A4
Colour Printer sales.
One thing that is common between both Western and Eastern European markets though is growth and although
this growth is less prevalent than what it is in the A4 Colour MFP market it is still most evident in the 20-29ppm
category, especially in Western Europe. It is for this reason that Sharp is launching the DX-C200P.
