How to maintain polished cast and forged Alloy wheels by Mickey
Thompson and delta4x4
The alloy wheels of delta4x4 and Mickey Thompson of the Model Klassik, Classic2, Beadlock
M/T, Classic Lock and Beadlock delta as well as the forged wheels are of highest quality and
strength. This incomparable brightness of the surface we can only achieve by a mirror polished
face not covered by a clear coating.
The high compressed face of the wheel and of the beadlock ring is giving a good protection
against corrosion but it needs more maintaining work as a fully painted or clear coated wheel
To protect the surface of the wheel we suggest protecting it with a Perl coat as it get used for the
paint of the car too. This protection has to get renewed every few month. If you find anyhow
corrosion at your wheel please use the enclosed cleaning set we deliver with every set of
wheels. To make it easier you should use a polishing disc.
Wintertime: To keep the maintenance of the bright polished surface you should not use the
wheel in winter time.
If you store your wheels in the wintertime please do not forget the clean the wheels before
storing, to safe the surface with a protecting and to store the wheels in an absolutely try room.
If you have not maintained the surface of the wheel properly you should get the wheel new
polished. We are happy to provide you with a list of companies who are able to do this for you.

How to maintain the Beadlock Ring
Attention: the Beadlock ring is fixed with the wheel by 16 or 22 screws. The screws at the
Beadlock delta wheel have in addition a self-locking feature. In any way it is necessary to save
the fixation of the screws with Loctite. We suggest a torque of:
8 Nm for the M6 cheese head screws of the “Beadlock delta” wheels
12 Nm for the M8 hexagon head bolt of the Mickey Thompson “Classic Lock” and “Beadlock
Wheel”
