Quattron LED LCD TVs employ a four color ﬁ lter for the ﬁ rst

time in the industry, adding the color Y (yellow) to the three

colors of R (Red), G (Green) and B (Blue). Quad pixel

technology produces this groundbreaking combination

expanding the color gamut and faithfully rendering nearly all

colors that can be discerned while introducing never-before-

seen colors to TVs, like sparkling golds, Caribbean blues and

sunﬂ ower yellows.

QUAD PIXEL TECHNOLOGY

AquosMotion 240 enables smoother

video in fast-motion sequences such as in

movies and sports by minimizing motion

blur or jitter. AquoMotion 240 combines

advanced 120Hz technology with Sharp’s

new scanning backlight technology to

improve the refresh rate, smoothing

edges and improving picture clarity.

Quad Pixel Plus technology provides

a smooth transition between colors by

enabling individual illumination or shading

of the “dots” or sub-pixels. By illuminating

or displaying shades a smoother looking

image with a higher perceived level of

detail is possible.

AQUOMOTION 240 QUAD PIXEL PLUS

Quattron LED LCD TVs feature technology

advancements enabling picture quality

formerly difﬁ cult or impossible to reproduce

using conventional LCD displays. When

combined with Sharp’s 1080p X-Gen

LCD panel, the displays offer dramatic

reduction in energy consumption compared

with conventional CCFL LCD TVs. These

technologies work in tandem to optimize
