Sharp’s pioneering Plasmacluster Technology is an

active air cleaning system that uses air ionisation to

eliminate the build up of airborne mould spores,

microbes and odours.

Originally invented to purify the air in our air puriﬁers,

it didn’t take long to realise it could also be used to

purify the internal atmosphere of our fridge-freezers.

The system works by automatically releasing positive

and negative ions into the fridge, where they break

down airborne mould spores, bacteria and odour
